Bael Briarborn

The Marooned

“A tall and rangy specimen, one can tell, simply by looking, that this desperado’s been marooned for near on a decade. His hair frazzled, his sink caked in mud and wearing nothing beyond a snakeskin and a collect of jangling bones, there’s something feral and tameless in his eyes, suggesting he might do anything at any given moment. He carries the weapons of a sea-reaver – a cutlass and a improvised shield fashioned from a barrel’s side – and wields them with deadly effectiveness, hinting at his previous life, before his marooning.”

Little is known about the former life of the one who calls himself Bael Briarborn. Marooned on Axebeak Island for ten years, he lost touch with his humanity and is only now, in the company of the Hurricane’s survivors, learning to cooperate again. He is uncivilized, gruff and untrusting to the extreme, carrying a chip on his shoulder towards everyone of a piratical bend, despite his own love of drink, merrymaking and roguish behavior.

Parting ways with the party in Port Panthera, Captain Bael Briarborn hasn’t been seen since.
